21-year-Old Youtuber Paras, confidently said that Arunachal Pradesh is not in India.
Racism, against northeastern people, is not new in India, news, and incidences of racism that northeastern people go through when they moved to other parts of India has not hidden anymore, also it is shame and shocking that majority of people don't know that northeastern states are the part of India, northeastern people are Indians, also the youth who we consider literate, sensible and the future of the country are the main culprits towards racism.
A few days ago, a YouTuber Paras Singh, just 21 years old, uploaded a video where he commented on Arunachal Pradesh MLA Shree Ninong Ering's appearance and said he doesn't look like an Indian. also made fun of his name and said it's not an Indian name after that, Paras shows the Indian map and said that Arunachal Pradesh is on the borders of China and it's not completely the part of India.
this video got viral quickly and hurts thousands of northeastern people's sentiments also the people who have Northeastern friends, like me and I know how sweet and talented the northeastern people are. I was devasted and shocked to see how youth is being insensitive and shamelessly making such racist videos.

After one weak of the video, Arunachal police-initiated action, and a case has been registered against paras under IPC 124A/153A/505(2).
A court in Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday remanded Punjab-based YouTuber Paras Singh to six days in judicial custody, a senior police officer said.
Paras Singh, a social media influencer, was produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CMJ) court at Yupia near Itanagar.
“The court remanded him to six days in judicial custody. He will be lodged at Jully jail during the period.
Further action, whatever is to be taken, will be decided by the court,” said SP of Special Investigating Team (SIT) Rohit Rajbir Singh.
The court on Friday sent the YouTuber to one-day police custody to investigate the matter of racial remarks he had made against senior Congress MLA Ninong Ering and the people of Arunachal Pradesh.
Singh was brought to Itanagar from Ludhiana in Punjab by the police’s SIT late on Thursday.
The three-member team that brought him to the state was led by inspector Techi Vijay and consisted of constables GL Ray and Aman Kumar Meena.
The superintendent of police said that during interrogation, Paras revealed that he has two accounts in YouTube, both of which were created to “generate quick money”.
“The account with the channel name ‘Paras Official’, having 4.68 lakh subscribers, is used for showing tips, tricks, and informing his subscribers about the new skins of games like Call Of Duty (COD) mobile and PUBG un-boxing videos. The other channel — ‘Paras Gamers’ with 3.94 lakh subscribers is used to live stream PUBG on YouTube,” the police officer said.
Both the accounts are monetized by YouTube and he earns Rs 20,000-25,000 a month.
“The YouTuber also disclosed that the controversial video, against which a case has now been registered, was made by him to gain widespread attention and views so that his monetary income could be maximized,” the SP said.
The SIT has seized a laptop, a tablet, and three mobile phones from the YouTuber’s possession for further investigation, the officer added.
The Arunachal Pradesh government on Monday filed a case against Singh for making racial remarks against Ering and inciting ill will and hatred towards the people of the state.
Paras made the comments while reacting to a letter addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi by Ering wherein the MLA had asked the PM to ban the re-launch of PUBG Mobile India’s new avatar — Battlegrounds Mobile India.
Ering had reasoned that the game was aimed at deceiving the government and citizens and should be banned in the country.
A team from Arunachal Pradesh police has been reached Ludhiana to produce paras at an Itanagar court and the director-general of police Rp Upadhayay announced that a non-bailable warrant has been issued against paras.
now that video has been deleted because of the widespread cause in Arunachal Pradesh and people from different states were protesting and talking about it including Ering.

this video is disturbing, and also shows the condition of today's youth, his mother who doesn't have any fault has been dragged into this terrible situation because of his son, we have no right to treat our parents like this. social media has given us a voice but instead of using it for a better cause, some people like Paras use it for hatred and negatively influence thousands of people.
Some of the other shocking cases
In January 2014 a guy named Taniam has beaten to death in the Lajpat Nagar area of Delhi and the reason was, nothing but to look different.
In 2016 two young boys were beaten in Bangalore because they can't speak their local language
Two Students from Nagaland were tortured for hours in Gurgaon just to make them feel that they don't belong here. You people are not Indian's.
Also, there were incidents when only northeastern students were asked to show their identity cards while entering their college to prove their nationality.
many hotels have denied their bookings because according to them they don't look Indian enough.
when the pandemic arrives, landlords have forced the northeastern student to leave the place because they think they are Chinese and are responsible for coronavirus
and the list goes on...
Who is responsible?
North East India is the land of scenic beauty high hills, waterfalls, and exotic wildlife, and incredibly rich culture.it compromises 8 states Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura
Shockingly, 8 out of 28 states are part of northeast India, and still, people don't know about these states. I don't know what kind of education we are giving to our children.
these states are compromises of enchanting places like Kaziranga national park, living root bridge, Tawang monastery, gurudongmar lake, unakoti hills, dzukou valley, loktak lake, etc. yet it is the least explored.
our so-called not-so-biased media find only bad news about these places like a bomb blast, kidnapping, human trafficking, etc but never talk about its rich and beautiful culture, kind-hearted and hardworking people.
the students have never been taught well about these states. in our geography books these states are only mentioned but nobody has ever talked about them seriously, we never talked about their stories and history even our Bollywood don't consider north East people in the movies, they are also not seen any of the mainstream news channels as anchors or in tv serials, the talent that our northeast states have, has always been ignored.
we are continuously failing as a society because our people are not safe in their own country
this is high time that we should educate our children well, the government should take initiative to spread knowledge about our northeastern states, it's history and culture.
and always remember that asking North East Indians about their nationality, makes us, less Indian.
