How to use Hashtags to make your content discoverable.

every day millions of people use lots of hashtags daily so the chances of your post being dissapered under that particular hashtags are very high and common.

so what to do?

Here are some basic yet important things you have to keep in mind:

ProTip- always remember that hashtags won't work if your account is private,
so I would suggest that if you want to grow your Instagram then keep your account public.

also, you can have a look at this if you want to keep your account private  5 ways to grow engagement on your private account

  • Don't always go for the popular hashtags- always use the less popular hashtags, personally, I use hashtags which are below 50k posts .which increase the chances of your post being discovered and will not get disappeared in the pool of millions of posts
  • Before choosing the hashtags for your post, always do some research on the competitors of your niche. trust me it helps a lot to see what hashtags they are using and how many hashtags they are using to grow.
  • Always try to use 11 to 15 hashtags not more than that, Instagram allows using 30 hashtags in one post but sometimes more number of hashtags seems like spam so don't use lots of hashtags.
  • Always check for the blocked or banned hashtags, never use banned hashtags it gives a negative impression and your engagement won't grow, and sometimes when Instagram sees more number of banned hashtags in your posts they might block your account so be careful.
  • Always put space between the two hashtags, I have seen many posts where people use lots of hashtags but they don't give space between. I also initially did the same mistake so trust me without using space there is no meaning of using hashtags it won't work.
  • Adding hashtags after posting your content won't work, always put hashtags before posting your content, some people first post, and edit, then add hashtags, it won't work in that way.
  • Use the Alt text in your post it gives information to search engines about your content.
  •  Have a balance between the popular hashtags and the less popular hashtags, I personally suggest that out of 11, use 3-4 popular hashtags and the rest use the unpopular one.
